- Abstract
Inter-Landau-level tunneling between pure two-dimensional (2D) systems is investigated in a GaAs-AlAs superlattice. Resonances due to elastic as well as inelastic scattering up to Δn=9 (n Landau-level index) are observed. The corresponding Landau fans can be simulated when conduction-band nonparabolicities are included. The observed polaron-induced renormalizations of Landau-level energies can be quantitatively described within the theory of 2D magnetopolarons. Resonant tunneling between Landau levels with the emission of zone-folded acoustic phonons is also present.
