Abstract

Due to their material properties, titanium alloys are an important material for several industries. The production of titanium requires a high energy input. Recycling titanium chips into powder for additive manufacturing has the potential to significantly improve environmental sustainability. The recycling process chain can produce powder with properties comparable to commercially available titanium powder. This enables the production of high-quality titanium powder for additive manufacturing from chips.
