Improved tilted-foil polarization technique for use in β-radiation detected nuclear magnetic resonance

Abstract

A beam-foil arrangement for the polarization of β emitters is supplemented by a field-compensation solenoid at the position of the foils. For 12B the field dependence of β-decay asymmetries and NMR signals in a Pt stopper are reported.
