note = "Funding information: 1Grenzgeografien (Border Geographies) is a platform for intercultural research, publications, and public discourse. Founded by Philipp Misselwitz and Tim Rieniets, it investigates the production and use of urban space in conditions of conflict and spatial division. Research focuses on developing a greater understanding of the general principles of urban conflicts in addition to the close study of specific situations and everyday practices. Research projects have included studies of Jerusalem and Berlin, bringing together European and Middle Eastern partners, institutions, international researchers, planners, architects, artists, as well as students with the aim of opening up new perspectives on the subject. The results of Grenzgeografien{\textquoteright}s major research project on Jerusalem (2003–06) formed the basis for the publication City of Collision: Jerusalem and the Principles of Conflict Urbanism. Grenzgeografien is supported by funds from the Allianz Cultural Foundation, the Robert Bosch Stiftung, the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD), and other partners.",
